in-laws
So I have to go round to my inlaws.... & there's gonna be a crowd. But I act all wierd, cos I find it difficult.

But sometimes then we play games, like board games, & I'm dead smart, so I get respect which is good, but they all think that that means that I'll be all happy & socially interactive! But I find the social interaction difficult, I don't know what to say or when to say it, I say the wrong thing, I speak at the wrong time, grrrrrrrr it's frustrating.

They know I'm wierd, they just can't quite put thier finger on it. They know I'm a nice bloke, but there's just that something odd about me, which they're unsure about.

It's social langau franca I tell ya!

RE: in-laws
I know what you mean.

I too find social interaction extremely difficult and often say the wrong thing and at the wrong time. I would say that it's more than frustrating, it's depressing as at these times I'm often snapped back at. Often being told in extremely abrupt terms not to interupt or "you don't like me talking to your wife, DO YOU." Such comments I find extremely hurtful as I am too a nice bloke, it's just that I have a deficit when it somes to social interaction.
